Bandit update

Update on Bandit his knees seem to be fine he’s no longer limping at all amazing to say his last surgery was only 2 weeks ago on Tuesday. I’ve noticed this weekend though that he is very stiff when he first gets hp and seems a bit wobbly at his back end. I’m presuming it’s now his hips that are bothering him which is the reason he was referred to the specialist vets at Wakefield in the 1st place. Unfortunately his knees went on him first. Essex Border Walk

a sunny first walk of the year for the Essex Border Terrier Owners Group this was attended by 60 borders and 92 humans not forgetting 9 honorary  borders in disguise. Raising a fantastic total of £576.81 in addition a lovely lady selling  her amazing hand crafted goods added another £215.50 making a grand total of £792.31  What a fantastic start to the year a June, date to will be confirmed for a summer walk....

UPDATE ON BANDIT Thursday morning Firstly I want to apologise that there was no update yesterday but it was hectic. Bandit came home yesterday he is weight bearing on the first knee he first had operated on but he his still limping on that one. The one he had done on Tuesday does go down at times but is uncomfortable on it so tends to hold it up. Yesterday he slept most of the day. He woke me up at 1am this morning so I took him out for a tiddle he wasn’t much bothered about having one I think...

BTW pledge £ 10,000 to Canine Genetics Center

As the Kennel Club pulls funding the Canine Genetics Center now faces a funding gap of £345,000 for the 12 month period from 1 April 2024. If this gap is not filled staff will be made redundant, valuable experience and expertise will be lost , ongoing projects will be affected and may be abandoned and 40,000+ DNA samples may be lost....

I took my little boy Bandit back to paragon in Wakefield this morning after him going off his good leg. The vet said that his knee on the opt side to the one he’d had operated on 10 days ago was out of his socket and every time he put it back it came straight out again. So I came home without my little boy they will be doing X-rays etc today and doing the same operation he had done which he still has the sutures in from last time.
