Midland Borderfest raffle - fundraising update

images of raffle entries including artwork, clothing, books and other Border Terrier memorabilia

We've had an amazing fundraising update from Anne Speake & her team now that the Midland Borderfest online raffle has been completed.  Whilst they have been unable to host their in-person event due to Coronavirus, they have still rallied round and raised an amazing amount of money.

Fundraising for Border Terrier Welfare

Their raffle was converted to a wholly online event and ticket sales raised some £2,700, with a further donation of £1,100 from Dawn Pat Robinson Fewtrell from the sale of her cards, masks and visors, making a total donation to BTW of £3,800.

A further £400 was raised from other activities for the Breed Health Group, which will also benefit Border Terrier health research.

You can read Anne's facebook post for full report.

BTW vote of thanks

BTW Chairman, Tony Wrenn, on seeing the facebook post, comments, "I am a little lost for words having just seen this.  I have read it several times and pinched myself to see if I was dreaming.  I am fairly certain I am not and it does say that the Midland Borderfest team have raised £3,800 for Border Terrier Welfare."

He goes on to say, "You are all amazing and this is an absolutely fantastic result. A huge thank you from us all in Border Terrier Welfare to all of you in the Midland Borderfest Group, your help is very much appreciated.  Thank you also to everyone who donated raffle prizes and bought tickets to make the fundraising such a success."
