On #WorldKindnessDay, we've had news announced of a lovely kind act that means a donation is on it's way to us. Nessie won a Pet Pawtraits competition and her own Emma, kindly suggested Border Terrier Welfare as their nominated charity, which means we win as well as them!
Happiest Smile
In the Pet Pawtraits competition, run on facebook by Agria Pet Insurance, Nessie won the Happiest Smile, judged by vet Marc Abraham, founder of Pup Aid campaigning for Lucy's Law to help end puppy farming.
Agria offered their facebook followers the chance to enter their competition by replying to their post with their Pet Pawtrait, for the chance to win a £50 M&S voucher, along with nominating a charity who would also receive a donation of £250.
We're thrilled that Nessie won with the image below and that Emma chose to nominate Border Terrier Welfare, which Agria announced in their post on facebook this afternoon.
Always happy
Emma describes Nessie as her 'tough little clown', always on the go as she loves being out and about. Vet nurse, Emma, got Nessie 4 years ago as her first dog, "She brings such joy to my life and to all those she meets!" she comments "I’ve learnt so much about these little dogs fantastic traits. I've also learnt about the fantastic work Border Terrier Welfare do for the breed and helping owners or border terriers who’ve fallen on hard times move through it so all parties are happy. You’re a small charity making a big impact to a brilliant breed".
Well, we think you're pretty brilliant too for thinking of us, Emma and we hope you spend that M&S voucher on something to treat yourself and Nessie for being our fundraising heroes! Fans of Nessie can find her on Instagram @nessietheborder.
Check out the images below and we think you'll agree that Nessie certainly looks a happy little soul, so a great choice by Marc for his winner*.
