Bess Friends July Walk

The Bess Friends Lytham St Anne's walking group on Facebook, organised by Brian & Rebecca Shackleton have made another donation for their July walk.

The July walk

The walk this month generated funds of £140 which included sales of BTW Bags for BordersSupporter Badges and Logo Stickers with about 20 people and 30 Border Terriers enjoying the fun walking the huge beach.  With so much space, social distancing certainly wasn't a problem for the people attending and quite honestly, this was the least of the worries of the Border Terriers attending, who had a fine time zooming round the beach!

Brian says, "After worrying all Saturday about Sunday's forecast and people not coming, or not enjoying the walk the sun shone on us all walk, more new people again which means more pups 😊

All the little ones behaved impeccably and formed great new friendships, also a lovely site to see was the kids and pups playing together in the sea (yes it was that hot).  To my friends old and new, thank you for coming and hope to see you soon."

Of course the walk meant more delicious pies for those attending too!

Thank you from all at Border Terrier Welfare

"Once again, we a grateful to Brian, Rebecca and friends for their fundraising, it certainly helps knowing we have donations such as this coming in" says Chairman Tony Wrenn, "but clearly I need get myself down to a Lytham St Anne's beach walk when I can to share in the pies!"
