Some of you may recall the article in Country Life on Border Terriers last summer. We are pleased to say that it has been nominated for Cover of the Year in the PPA Awards. This is open to a public vote, so we need your help to ensure that they are top dogs!
Why Borders are best
The article appeared in Country Life Magazine in the issue dated 14 July 2021, which resulted in the lovely cover image of three lively Border Terriers. With the title 'Why Borders are best: the terrier with it all' ... and who are we to argue with them?!
The article featured well known owners such as Lorraine Kelly & Andy Murray, along with interviews from Border Terrier Club President, Ronnie Irving, and our very own Border Terrier Welfare Chairman, Tony Wren - all highlighting the benefits (and challenges!) of being owned by a Border Terrier.
Can we help make it Cover of the Year?
The cover has been nominated in the Professional Publishers Association's PPA Awards, industry awards which celebrate the great and good of the publishing world.
The good news is that the Cover of the Year is open to a public vote - so this is where you can help! Voting is simple, requires no registration and can be done daily from as many devices as you own.
In just a few steps you can add your vote - Just click on the image below to be taken to the website, find the Country Life cover (hint: it's the one with Border Terriers on it, but it may not always be in the same position every day), click on the cover and then click on the blue 'Vote for this cover' button, and you're done . . . until the next day that is! You can vote once on each device every 24 hours, so make sure to come back at a similar time each day.
Vote now and vote daily until voting closes at midday on Friday 20 May 2022.
It would also help enormously if, once you've voted, you keep sharing our posts or your own too.
Did you know that in the same awards, the 2017 Country Life cover featuring Lakeland Terriers won Gold for Cover of the Year?
If Border Terriers really are best (and we all know they are) then we have to prove it by making sure they romp home with nothing less than Gold, so make sure you've got that voting reminder alarm set!
