Our new Border Terrier Welfare website is live!

Having been discussed for some time in BTW circles, we are really pleased to have been able to launch our new website for our AGM last weekend.  With over 2,500 visits in the first week with lots of positive feedback, we hope it will become a useful resource for anyone with an interest in Border Terriers.

What's new pussycat?

Errr . . . dogs mainly, and specifically border terriers!

Seriously though, we have updated the content to include more information on border terriers, with our About BTs page which is a useful guide for people considering the breed, along with offering more information on their health including the Border Terrier Health Group, the UK border terrier breed clubs, books and other useful resources to find out more.

An important update

Our website update was important to ensure we are keeping up with developments in technology and changes in society.  It is now mobile friendly and with almost 75% of our visits from mobile devices in the first week, this means our new site is more responsive and reflects the way and increasing number of people access the internet now.

In addition, our website is now secure - another key feature so that you can browse with confidence and doubly important when we release our webstore soon.

Finally, the site enables us to have control over the content, to be able to update and add to it with ease, alongside adding our regular blogs to ensure our content has something fresh for returning visitors - not least the lovely images supplied by the border terrier community.

We're not resting on our laurels

We have plans to develop the site further and add more content in the coming weeks and months.  We are just working on bringing our webstore to you so that you can purchase products directly, rather than through our donate button.

We are also looking at adding more specific content around border terrier ownership, so that we can hopefully provide more information on how to care responsibly for a border terrier.  We want to avoid borders becoming a statistic of BTW through unprepared owners, so that we ensure owners have a rewarding and successful partnership with their border as a family pet over their many years of life.

Still don't see what you want?

We have plans to add to and develop the site more, but if there are things that you would like to see on the website, or you have any other comments, then we welcome your feedback.  Please contact us to let us know what you think.
