Border Terrier Welfare
Looking for a home
Percy was to be re homed with another dog he previously lived with after his owner passed, however they didn't get on particularly well so he came to stay with us, he is a 10 year old very sweet chap, likes to be with somebody , he can get anxious in places he does not know very well, he can also bark at people and dogs although this has improved in the few weeks he has been with us now he is getting more comfortable with his surroundings, in the home he has been a good boy, he has been a clean and no destructive behaviours Percy can be quite playful and likes a fuss, he is getting on with the two other dogs we have with us.
As we have multiple dogs we do crate them separately, now he's in the routine of using one he sleeps soundly all night but he can have a bit of a sing song, in the morning as we are getting up. When gets really excited, like letting him out first thing, he might run around your feet as if he wants to grab at them, he doesn't bite but it could be to some a bit unnerving at first, he doesn't walk on the lead very well wanting to pull , his previous owner had him from a pup and it's likely these behaviours stem from puppyhood.
Percy would make a charming companion, chilling in the garden with you or sitting by your feet or laying next on the sofa anytime during the day or evening.
He is generally healthy although overweight and having some b12 supplement as it was a bit low.
We are now considering possible homes for Percy so we are currently closing applications for him.

Dogs needing homes.
Border Terrier Welfare normally operate with a list of applicants to re home dogs and does not usually openly offer dogs for rehoming.
Finding homes for dogs with behavioural issues is difficult , if you can offer a good home and have experience with a reactive dog please get in touch.
In this case Percy has been offered to various applicants so we are opening to a wider range of possible homes, if you have already applied you would have priority.
