Borderfest Wales took place last weekend at the picturesque Dol-Llys Farm campsite, which is nestled in the stunning countryside near the historic market town of Llanidloes, Wales. This charming location, known for its rolling hills and breathtaking landscapes, provided the perfect backdrop for a weekend filled with camaraderie, fun, and a shared love for Border Terriers. The event attracted numerous participants and their furry companions.
Members of the community came together to raise an impressive total of £1003.68 for Border Terrier Welfare, a charity dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of Border Terriers in need. This remarkable achievement reflects the dedication and generosity of all those who participated, from the volunteers who organized the event to the attendees who contributed through their presence and donations. Every penny raised will go directly towards providing essential care and support for these beloved dogs, ensuring they receive the love and attention they deserve. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making Borderfest Wales a resounding success; your efforts are truly appreciated and will make a significant difference in the lives of many Border Terriers.
This camping event in Wales was shared with those of us who were unable to make it via online updates in the Facebook group, It is an active community of folks who are supporting the welfare of Border Terriers throughout Wales and they had a smashing time regardless of weather. They also raised some beneficial funds for BTW.
